rogaine exists to find you gigs, not to farm you. we collect what we need to run and improve the guide, explain that collection below, sell nothing to anyone, and let you delete your account data in two taps.
rogaine uses PostHog to understand whether the public website actually answers a visitor's gig question and which app features earn their keep. on the website, PostHog assigns a random browser identifier stored in a cookie and local storage. we do not connect that website identifier to a rogaine account, name or email.
website analytics can include pages and public gig, artist or venue links viewed; referring page and campaign tags; broad device, browser and approximate-location information; clicks, navigation, search terms entered into rogaine's public gig search, form progress, copied-text counts, scroll depth, active time, audio-preview progress, outbound destination categories, JavaScript errors, page-speed measurements and Core Web Vitals. sensitive URL parameters are removed and obvious email addresses, phone numbers and URLs in search text are redacted before capture.
we also use session replay, heatmaps and console/error capture on the public website. replay reconstructs interactions so we can find confusing or broken experiences. all form fields are masked; audio URLs, request/response bodies and request headers are excluded; share-sender details are masked; and we do not intentionally record passwords, ticket QR contents, account data or other form-field contents. public-site search terms are captured as described above after redaction, so please do not put personal information into the gig-search box.
your browser's Do Not Track setting is respected where the browser still sends it. you can also turn website analytics off for this browser below. opting out stops PostHog capture and stores that preference in this browser; it does not affect the app.
still no ads, no ad SDKs, no data brokers, and no selling personal information to anyone.
profile → delete account. that removes your account, saved gigs, tickets, friendships and taste data from our servers, and revokes your Sign in with Apple token. gone means gone.
rogaine aggregates publicly available gig information and uses artist photos and 30-second previews from the Deezer and Apple/iTunes APIs. we're independent and unaffiliated with any venue or ticketing outfit. if you're a venue, artist or promoter and want a listing, image or detail changed or removed, email [email protected] and we'll action it promptly.
