CDB

CDB were an Australian RnB group of the 90s. Its original members were brothers Gary and Brad Pinto, Andrew De Silva, and Danny Williams. Originally from Dandenong, Victoria, the band formed in 1991 and performed local gigs for several years before being signed to Sony in 1994. Their debut album was Glide With Me, from which the first two singles Hook Me Up and Hey Girl were moderately successful. It was the third single, however, which launched them into the mainstream. A cover of Let's Groove by Earth, Wind & Fire, it reached number 2 on the Australian singles chart in 1995, and was the highest selling single of the year, selling over 70,000 copies. Glide With Me went on to generate 4 singles in total and went platinum. A second album, Lifted, was released in 1997 with the lead single Let It Whip.
