Ashton is on the top of the list of the new wave of modern blues rock artists, often being compared to The Black Keys, Jack White and Seasick Steve. His dynamic performances go from haunting and mesmerising acoustic bottleneck and lap steel playing to full on electric swamp rock, boogie and blues.

Ashton has co-headlined: Adelaide Guitar Festival with Chris Finnen, Guitar Heroes Festival in Germany with Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones), the Garden Blues Festival in Marceilles, France with Robben Ford and has toured over 30 countries
