Melbourne trio Clamm emerged from their city's raucous punk scene, conceptualized first as a side project for even more intense output from members of Gamjee and Dragoons. Before long, the band grew into a full-time endeavor, playing gigs and releasing their full on blasts of heavy, tumultuous punk with 2021 debut full-length Beseech Me. Clamm was formed around 2019 by guitarist/vocalist Jack Summers and drummer Miles Harding. The two were already active in various Melbourne bands, but wanted to explore a heavier sound. The trio was rounded out by bassist Luke Scott, and began playing shows. Clamm first self-released their debut album Beseech Me on cassette in 2020. Scott played on the album, but left Australia soon after to pursue studies in Poland. He was replaced by Maisie Everett of the Belair Lip Bombs and the band soldiered on.
