The Casual Slacks were started back when we were in year 7 at high school, and we bonded over our shared love for alternative rock. Our sound is defined by interlocking guitar parts, driving melodic bass lines, strong unapologetic drums, all underneath soaring and atmospheric vocal harmonies.
Influential to us have been rock legends such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, The Strokes and Led Zeppelin, as well as contemporary artists such as Wunderhorse and Fontaines DC. On top of this, for a long time we have taken inspiration from some of Australia's rock bands both young and old such as Powderfinger and Cold Chisel.
We will be releasing our original material later on in the year, and we can't wait to share it with all of you.
