The Warner Brothers

Primarily formed by Dan Warner and James "The Reverend" Stewert, The Warner Brothers were a band who were prominent in the Melbourne music scene through the 1990's. In 1992, the band released their first independent album 'Talking In Your Sleep.' A mix of country/rockabilly/rock and roll, the album focused on people and places in and around Melbourne, Australia. The Album received much praise but also gained the attention of Time/Warner who were concerened about the use of the Warner Brothers name. After a bitter legal battle, the band gave in and changed their name to Overnight Jones. Under this name, the band released a five track E.P entitled 'Not Brothers Anymore.' After playing many a Sunday night at the well known, and now defunct, Punter's Club on Brunswick street, as well as a residency at the Corner Hotel in Richmond, the band went their seperate ways, Dan Warner moving to the U
