“a warm, rootsy arvo of heart-on-sleeve folk, gentle songwriting and unstoppable rock ’n’ roll energy”
event details
Doc Halibut are back at Shotkickers bringing their unstoppable blend of roots inspired rock ’n’ roll, powered by the heart, wit, soul, and irrepressible energy that have become their trademarks. Doc are a mainstay of the Melbourne rock n’ roll roots pub scene and regulars on the Australian music festival circuit of Woodford, Caloundra, Queenscliff, Echuca Blues, Bendigo Blues, Yackandandah and heaps of others.
They are joined by Ngiyampaa man and First Nations singer-songwriter Pirritu (Brett Lee) who's music is gentle, honest and from the heart. Strange and melodic chords frame this songwriter's vocals that weave around his lyrics like a gentle wind, enticing you into the depths of his personal journey, singing you a story of both sadness, love and hope.
But there's more!
The eclectic arvo of music opens with Indie-folk duo Kristie Glab & AJ with their blend of atmospheric vocals and guitars and insightful lyrics, rounding out a superb afternoon of music at Shotkickers.
