It’s for those whose music rewards a considered ear in an attentive room. The Junk Bar’s dedicated music space (The Skukum Lounge) is the perfect place to house this concept with the fifth iteration of the series featuring three local acts whose sounds traverse jazz, blues and experimental electronics. 1830 // Doors 1900 // Voltfruit 1950 // Shade Hadie 2040 // The Scornful Four Art by Two Crate Studio. Drawing from Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters to Canned Heat, Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart, they fuse gritty blues with vintage rock. Since arriving on the live music scene in 2023, Shade Hadie have been captivating audiences with their signature mix of original tracks and reinvented covers. Lead singer and guitarist Buddy Moyes delivers a powerful, gravelly voice that fluctuates between understated restraint and explosive raw energy. His vocals resonate with raw intensity, blending Howlin' Wolf's haunting grit and Tom Waits jagged tones. With intricate, unpredictable guitar solos by Moyes and fellow lead guitarist Oskar Thaw, layered with Moyes' harmonica and backed by Michael Georgas on bass and the theatrical soundscape of percussionist Riley Sharp, the band create an electrifying, vibrant textured b
