the word from the venue
After the breakout success of his debut single “is it me?”, Jamie Koul is stepping onto the stage for his first ever headline show, marking a major moment for one of Melbourne’s emerging indie-pop and alternative R&B artists. Blending emotionally raw songwriting with atmospheric production and understated charisma, Jamie’s music has already begun resonating with audiences across the local scene. Since its release, “is it me?” has gained strong early support, building momentum through streaming platforms, radio play and social media, positioning Jamie as a rising artist to keep a close eye on in 2026.For one night only, Jamie Koul will bring his music to life in an intimate headline performance backed by a killer band and an incredible lineup of some of Melbourne’s most exciting new talent. Joining the bill is Emma Duncan, a 20-year-old Melbourne-based vocalist and songwriter known for her sardonic lyricism and energetic live performances. Her debut single, “ROCKSTAR RICH KID,” is a bold and biting exploration of image, envy and identity, earning over 5,000 streams and radio support within its first month of release. With more music on the way, Emma is quickly establishing herself as one of the city’s most compelling new voices. Also performing is Rob Aspinall, a Melbourne-based alt-soul artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer whose sound fuses R&B, neo-soul, jazz and hip hop into lush, emotionally resonant soundscapes. Inspired by artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Jordan Rakei and Allen Stone, Rob’s music is driven by rich instrumentation, layered vocal arrangements and fearless musicality. His vibe is unmatched, with new release ‘Keeps On’ quickly grabbing many people’s eyes and ears. It's going to be a night celebrating Melbourne’s next wave of independent artists. You don’t want to miss it.
