the word from the venue
In this edition of Poly-rhythmic #6: Music // Talks // Eats Liquid Architecture presents ‘Landing, Crossing, Exiting: Listening to Queer Time/Migrant Time’, a special collaboration with Aziz Sohail who developed these ideas through the curatorial residency at MADA Gallery. The evening brings together a panel discussion with MzRizk (Habibi Hafla), Kerfew Collective, and Matisse (We Eatin’ Good Bitches), exploring how BIPOC/queer spaces and nightlife foster community, solidarity, and creative freedom in Naarm. Drawing on Amin Ghaziani’s Long Live Queer Nightlife, the panel reflects on the liberatory and expansive possibilities of queer nightlife, and the long-term impact of these gatherings. Performances by Ari Angkasa and Nadeem/Enter complement the conversation, creating a sonic and lexical polyphony that celebrates community-centered practice in Merri-Bek. Book Here
