Slow Grind Fever steps into the neon lit 1980s once again August 22nd at BAR OPEN. Enter the smokey dreamland and take a trip through risque r&b, druggy disco, adults-only AOR, languid lovers rock, nymphomantic new wave and all manner of uncategorizable moody melters aimed directly at the hips. DJs Richie1250, Steely Ann and The D Word steer the spaceship '77-'93 style from 9pm til 230am, plus beloved chanteuse ESTHER HENDERSON (DTMSM, THE PROTEENS, TEK TEK) swings by around midnight to sing a classic 80s slow jam.
