Strange Cargo marks the arrival of its inaugural record the way it should always be done. A launch party, on a dancefloor, with friends, at Solace on June 5th. Freshly formed project Headhunters will be joined by two of Melbourne's most beloved pairings. TBSU founder and Purple-Audio don respectively, Hannah D & Liz bring their own brand of considered, floor-ready techy selections that we know and love. Having made their mark on the scene through Djing, sub sitting and running the cult favourite @moniker, the pair have become two of the most trusted names in the Melbourne underground. Closing out the evening are Myles Mac & DJ Possum, newlyweds and bona fide power couple. Doing what they always do, effortlessly pulling from a seemingly endless catalogue of deep cuts and thumping house rarities. Strange Cargo would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of this land, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, and pay respect to elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded. I
