After a 3 year long band hiatus as a solo performer, George Carroll Wilson’s solo pseudonym Pollyman finally made his first band re-appearance at the behest of the organisers of Loch Hart Music Festival, for what would be their final year in 2025. Since that first fateful show, the three piece guitar and vocal onslaught featuring Beatlesesque harmonies, glam rock guitar solos and plenty of gender-bending stage strutting from band mates Rebecca Stobbe and Aaron Hoernlein strummed and hummed around Melbourne for a few months until a booking at the infamous Punters Club demanded a little more muscle. Joined now by drummer Josh Tucker and bassist Keely Lawson, the fabulous five piece have spent the last year and a half rocking their way around Melbourne and Geelong, with plans to expand to NSW and beyond with the release of the follow up album to 2020’s self-titled debut LP. Names, dates and directions have yet to be announced but one thing is for sure; Pollyman has arrived, and is here to stay.
