Ubu Roi

Ubu Roi wants power, and doesn’t care who’s neck hole he has to fart into to get it. This is not classic theatre. It’s not even good theatre. It’s a juvenile, foul mouthed, disgusting piece of theatre, written by a school child in the 1800’s in a disgraceful attempt to make fun of his philosophy teacher. It is credited as an inspiration for the Theatre of the Absurd, Dadaism and Surrealism, and roughly the maturity level of our current political discourse.
