Queensland born Chris Johnstone called Canberra home for the past 25 years, establishing himself as one of its most in demand guitar teachers and talented performers. A graduate of the Australian National University and prize winner in the prestigious Ike Isaacs Jazz guitar competition, Chris has performed with many preeminent musicians in the Australian jazz scene including Dale Barlow, Carl Dewhurst, James Sherlock, Mat Jodrell, Warwick Alder, Carl Mackey, Ben Hanlon, Ben Robertson, Mark Fitzgibbon, Brendan Clark, Anton Delecca, Tom Lee, Danny Fisher, Emma Gilmartin, Con Campbell, John Mackey, John Morrison, Jacki Cooper and Gary France, establishing himself as a stylistically flexible and diverse performer. ​Chris has since relocated to Melbourne and is not only becoming an in demand player in the local scene, but also one of Melbourne's most sought after private tutors. 2 sets, 9pm - 11pm Tix $20 (cash only) on the door.
