Two of Naarm's emerging electronic music collectives, de cleurb and Curio Collective, join forces to take over both levels of Angel Music Bar on July 30th for a journey through electronica. Upstairs, expect a journey through global club sounds, percussive grooves, bass-heavy selections and electro-inspired rhythms. Brown Suga Princess draws from her South Asian heritage, weaving together diasporic sounds with breakbeat, bass music and skittering footwork influences. Ekzander traverses bass, techno, breaks and experimental rhythms, while Su Yen brings an ear for weighty, electro-adjacent club music. Joining them are de cleurb's own Tyherone, alongside Curio Collective acts Kali and fbw.archive Downstairs, members of both crews will trade the decks throughout the night, creating a continuous dialogue between their respective sounds.
