the word from the venue
'A Streetcar Named Go Fuck Yourself’ is a sweaty gay travesty in two parts. We begin our play in the late 1940’s-ish with a languishing homosexual hunk, near to the moment that the tobacco-scented arrival of his gaybo brother upends the peace of his melancholy. In this fiercely modern work, Jake Stewart celebrates both the magic of the style of Tennessee Williams, and also the Melbourne appetite for angry, horny, progressive stories. This is the first offering of Kissing Booth’s residency at the Motley Bauhaus, and promises to be a sultry and surprising conversation piece. From the team behind ‘Who’s Afraid of Vagina Wolves?’ and ‘Pride & Prejudicks’ comes this burning hot cigarette poked in your eye.
