The Takes- Self-titled EP Launch Night

Hitting the scene hard in 2026, Naarm based Indie/Rock 5-piece, The Takes, gear up to celebrate the release of their Self-titled EP. A collection of songs performed and recorded live in a day, encapsulating the bands spirit, intensity and passion when it comes to their live performances. Earning their stride with countless gigs throughout the local VIC scene, and following the releases of back to back singles "Shoot Me Down" and "Something To Tell Me", the band are set to display their whole catalog. Enjoying the work so far but hoping to set off immense anticipation for what's to come. The Takes represent a love for vintage Indie/Rock classics, sharp hooks and poignant lyricism. Always pursuing dynamic shifts in songwriting and genre blending tunes. Joining them on the night will be the heavy-hitting post-punk quintet The Mundaynes, who pride themselves on a high-spirited live perfomance and fueled with dynamic songwriting, drawing their inspiration from the likes of INXS, Shame and Talking Heads. As well as Naarm's Shoegaze sensation Ethereal Gone Kids, whose live performance expels a vortex of dreamscapes and smilriling melodies. The night can guarantee head nods, sore ears and maybe a few tears.
