the word from the venue
Brisbane’s Nerve is an ARIA charting rapper, ARIA nominated producer, singer, DJ, and engineer known for his versatility, lyrical precision, and boundary-pushing sound.Emerging through hip-hop and grime scenes, Nerve has established a strong grassroots fanbase that has championed him through all levels of success from underground to mainstream. Nerve has managed to establish a clear conduit between the Australian and UK grime/rap scenes on the production and performancefront, having collaborated with UK household names such as Example, D Double E, and Songer. With credits including remixes for Aitch, collaborations with Tkay Maidza, Young Franco and Just A Gent, and festival sets at Listen Out and BIGSOUND, Nerve’s catalogue blends grime, drill, UKG, rock, and electronic influences. In 2024, he connected with UK icons D Double E and Songer for the self-produced “TONKZ,” and continued the momentum into 2025 with the introspective “95s” and a sold-out run of “Nerve or Nothing” parties—where he played multiple sets and served fans NerveBurgers and a free BBQ. Alongside his solo work, he’s building a strong production portfolio with beats for Barkaa, Kobie Dee, Chillinit, and Seth Sentry, and commanding club floors with DJ sets spanning rap, techno, grime, and more. 2026 has seen an explosion of Nerve’s notoriety with the release of his lead album single “You” reaching viral status with over 2.5M views across social media within the first 3 days of release. The song has garnered major worldwide attention from Ukraine to South America and beyond.
