Nearly three years ago, on 22 April 2023, a small creative space in Collingwood became the birthplace of something special. Fabrice, together with a friend who believed in the idea and offered the space, gathered a handful of local modular legends - Cameron, David, Sven, Age, Lincoln, and Fabrice himself. Those first sessions were raw, intimate, and driven purely by curiosity. Just a group of people who loved sound and wanted to explore it together. From those humble beginnings, Modular People has evolved into a thriving platform for Melbourne’s modular community. What started as a small gathering has grown into a consistent space for experimentation, collaboration, and live performance. We’ve seen first-time performers step into their confidence, seasoned artists push new boundaries, and audiences deepen their appreciation for the art of patching, shaping, and sculpting sound in real time.
