Soul powerhouse Michaela Jayde makes her highly anticipated return to The JazzLab for her only headline show for 2026, following a busy year of touring with Casey Donovan and Wilsn. Once dubbed “a singer’s favourite singer”, Michaela Jayde possesses an undeniable ability to deeply move and connect with her audience with her soaring vocals and disarming stage presence. For almost two decades, Michaela has cultivated a dynamic career and established herself as a prominent figure and sought-after vocalist within the city’s vibrant live music community. From singing a duet with Teddy Swims at Margaret Court Arena, to earning the fastest 4-chair turn of her season on The Voice Australia, to performing on Channel 9’s Carols by Candlelight, Michaela has had the opportunity to perform on some of the country’s most iconic stages and work with an impressive array of artists along the way, including Tones & I, Samantha Jade, Silvie Paladino, Casey Donovan, Ben Abraham, Wilsn, Thndo and many more. For this very special one-off show, Michaela will be joined by a truly special line up of incredible musicians, featuring James Bowers on piano and David Tweedie on guitar. With Michaela spending much of her time working as a backing and session vocalist for other artists, this is a rare and unmissable opportunity to witness her soulful voice in this intimate and stripped back setting. Michaela will perform some of her original music along with a specially curated selection of covers from some of her favourite artists, inviting her audience to take a deeper look behind the songs that have helped shape the singer she is today.
