John Harkins Trio

John Harkins is a distinguished American jazz pianist known for his mastery of the bop tradition and energetic swing. A product of the Chicago/Detroit school, he studied classical piano at Manhattan School of Music and performed with jazz greats like Eric Alexander, Scott Hamilton and Warren Vaché. He has become a key figure in Australian jazz since 1994. In recent years, he has recorded numerous albums with New York City drummers Joe Farnsworth, Carl Allen, George Fludas and bassist John Webber.
