Body Shirt’s history begins with 2 mates from Queanbeyan, a country suburb/town
in Canberra, New South Wales. In the beginning it was only Lachie and Angus
(guitar/vocals and drums), with various people filling in here and there on bass
such as Angus’s older brother Ollie and a few other mates from nearby.
Body Shirt in the beginning was a shoegaze band HAHA, whilst both Angus and Lachie were
still finishing high school. Later in 2023 and the beginning of 2024 we began taking
inspiration from bands like pacer, capsuleofyou, widowdusk, gil cerrone,
onewaymirror, catalyst, doris and more and began to form the screamo/emo sound
we were aiming for. When we picked up our bassist Dom in mid 2024, the sound we
desired was being brought to life and we eventually got to where we are now.
We're coming down to Melbourne this July to play and show with friends Juno Eclipse
Fear of Horses, In Her Palms and Gil Cerrone. Come down!
