the word from the venue
ALLY OOP MGMT presents THE SLEDGE The Sledge is a high-voltage 5 piece rock outfit from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne that hit with the force of their name. Blending hard rock influences from the 70s 80s 90s and today, the band has built its sound around powerful grooves, aggressive guitars, and lyrics that confront life’s struggles head-on. Known for their no-nonsense approach and explosive live performances, The Sledge brings a raw authenticity that connects with audiences. Drawing influence from classic hard rock legends like Guns n Roses, Metallica , RHCP and modern heavy acts alike, The Sledge combines old-school attitude with a contemporary edge. Every track is built to leave an impact—whether it’s a fist-pumping anthem, a hard-hitting statement, or a reflection on the challenges that shape who we are. With a growing catalogue of powerful songs and a reputation for delivering unforgettable performances, The Sledge continues to prove that heavy music is more than just sound—it’s a force that brings people together. DEDFATE As heard on Triple J Unearthed. Dedfate is heavy and intense blend of metal and rap that have been rocking audiences since the start of 2026. With appearances at DV8 reunion, Metal for the Mutts, Wheat Wine Whiskey, and The Workers Club, this year is shaping up to be big for Dedfate. Featuring Myk Massacre, a demon guitarist, sprung straight from the pits of hell, Myk has been blessed with lightning fast fingers, insanely creative lick ability and he can shred the darkest meanest solo you will ever here. Vocalist Urizen Decay, is a man who has hesrd and felt the worlds pain for an eternity, he lives in the darkness and comes to share catharsis with the broken ones. Be sure not to miss out on this epic chance to release and rock out with the hardest hitting Nu Metal 2 piece you will ever see. COPULATERS Copulaters, hardcore punk from Melbourne. Catchy and to the point, this band delivers short fast paced old school hardcore influenced tunes, modernised for 2026. OG Cro-Mags guitarist Paris Mayhew has recently praised Copulaters music for feeling satisfying and complete and TO THE BONE has received consistent praise from various media outlets and listeners by being fast, unpretentious classic hardcore whilst being favourably compared to top-tier bands such as Circle Jerks, Negative Approach, SSD, Discharge and much more. Copulaters feature members from various Melbourne bands including the legendary Hardcore punk band Vicious Circle, Doom metal lords Dread and old school death metal band Abrasion. Copulaters second album is due out sometime in 2026! GO GORILLA Go Gorilla! is an electrifying alt-metal/post-hardcore quartet hailing from the vibrant music scene of Melbourne, Australia. The band's sound is a potent blend of heavy riffs, intricate rhythms, and blistering guitar work, all anchored by raw, emotive vocals that soar over the sonic onslaught. In their live performances, Go Gorilla! seamlessly transitions between moments of mosh-worthy chaos and atmospheric, introspective passages. The quartet's thunderous drumming and pulsing basslines provide the foundation for the band to unleash their musical fury, captivating audiences with their relentless energy and unapologetic vision. The band's recent single, "Drive," showcases their ability to blend crushing heaviness with moments of haunting melody, further solidifying their status as one of the most exciting new voices in the alt-metal and post-hardcore genres.
