Denim Owl have been unfurling their highly anticipated full-length ‘owlbum’ over the past couple of years. Let's recap. They made a fancy music video shot in a palace in Berlin. A breezy slomo remix happened. A star encrusted cameo list played on the album. Their five became a six piece band of the finest local and coastal exotic fruits. Someone built them a giant bird bath. And they’ve been slowly revealing photos from their decadent album cover shoot, depicting them in a kind of cruisy, vintage, lounge era. And now the time has arrived to release it (out July 10th), and naturally, host a launch party.
The album will be launching alongside resident Denim Owl-guitarist Joe Foley (aka Extreme Wheeze), who’ll be launching his shiny new~ish sublime folk pop album titled ‘Dreams’. Extreme Wheeze has momentarily diverged from his string of homemade iPhone recordings, to make a suave studio record. Wheeze and his band will be shining up some of the classics from the album, for the launch. And a fellow big believer in The Corrs, also joining them will be the iconic Geoffrey O’Connor. This most sibling-y album launch ever is happening at Cactus Room in Thornbury with doors at 2pm.
